#20 Barefoot Bravery

The first time I was in hospital I escaped by following closely behind someone wheeling a laundry cart. She got a shock when we made it out into the carpark and she turned around and saw me. She escorted me back inside.

The second time in hospital I escaped by accident when a nurse mistook me for a staff member and held the door open for me leading to the main corridor of the hospital. I didn't know what was going on, so I used the staff restroom and then let myself back in.

My third time in hospital I was in ED and just made a run for it after being kept there for about 24 hours. Security chased me but I'm a fast runner. I ran/walked the few ks home barefoot before the police came to my door and dragged me back to hospital.

On my fourth time in hospital I was restrained to a bed in ED for about 8 hours. I patently worked my wrist free from one restraint over the course of a few hours and was sitting upright untying my other hand when a nurse came in and re-tied me up.

I wish I'd been able to escape the night a patient came into my room and assaulted me.
